What Rouxly is

Rouxly started with a simple frustration: I love to cook, and I kept losing great recipes across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok — or landing on a recipe blog so buried in ads and life stories that I couldn't find the actual ingredients. So I built Rouxly to fix it. Paste a link to a recipe video or article, and Rouxly pulls out a clean, easy-to-read recipe — just the ingredients and steps, nothing else. You can save the ones you love to a personal cookbook, so they're never lost in a feed again.

What we collect

• Authentication information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information such as your name and avatar. This is provided by Google and used only to create and identify your account.
• Recipes you save: We store the recipes you choose to save to your personal cookbook, including the title, ingredients, steps, serving information, and the original source URL.
• Links you submit: We process the URL you paste so we can extract the recipe. We do not retain the raw content of the source page after extraction unless you save the resulting recipe.
• Technical data: Basic server and error logs may be collected to keep the service running and to diagnose issues. We do not use these logs to track you across the web.

How we use your information

We use your information only to operate and improve Rouxly: identifying your account, saving your recipes, extracting recipes from links you submit, and fixing problems with the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.

Third-party services we use

Rouxly relies on a few trusted services to do its job. Each of these may process data as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and backend infrastructure.
• Anthropic — powers the recipe extraction and parsing from the content we fetch.
• Supadata — retrieves YouTube transcripts when you paste a YouTube link.
• Apify — fetches Instagram and TikTok posts when you paste those links.

Data retention

We keep your account information and saved recipes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your saved recipes and profile data within a reasonable time, unless we are required to keep them for legal or security reasons.

Your rights

You can access, update, or delete the recipes in your cookbook at any time while logged in. You can also request:

• A copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate information.
• Deletion of your account and associated data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. When we do, we will post the new effective date at the top of the page. Continuing to use Rouxly after changes means you accept the updated policy.
